| Bio: | Character Information Name: Cassidy Reynolds Nickname: Sid or Cass Age: 23 Birthplace: Sid was born in the states but moved to Moscow when she was four. Sex: Female Occupation: Mechanic Appearance: Height: 5'5 Weight: 123 Hair: Blonde Eyes: Brown Style: Grungy and comfortable and occasionally some dress up Sid's style is something that she's put together over the years. The main point is that she likes to be comfortable. Her blonde hair is kept long though more often then not she puts it into a ponytail, especially when she's working. She does this because one time she didn't and got her hair caught in the engine of a '57 chevy which she never lived down. She keeps her hair long instead of short because she thinks she looks horrible with short hair. One time after contracting lice from summer camp, her mother cut her hair pixie short and she couldn't wait for it to grow out again. She has her mother's eyes, a brown that's light enough to seem golden under certain light. A former boyfriend used to call her honey on account of her eyes though she never liked the nickname. Her build is trim and on the athletic side on account of long days spent in the garage lifting heavy machinery. It also helps that she sometimes is so engrossed in a car that she forgets to eat. Her height is actually rather average, shorter then both of her brothers...even the younger one, much to her chagrin. She's not all that interested in clothes, much less designer clothes so everything in her closet is replaceable and cheap. If it's comfortable and it hides what it needs to hide and can get dirty then she'll wear it. She would never admit it, but she has a secret desire to dress up. There isn't very many opportunity to wear nice clothes, moving from place to place all the time....but she's been told once or twice that she cleans up pretty well. Personality: Despite the Lot she's been given, Sid's a pretty nice girl. She's mostly friendly to everyone though she does have her bad days. Even before she was turned, she always tried to look on the bright side of things and since her attack it's even more important now to stay upbeat. Like other cats, she's curious to a fault and likes the affection of others but at the moment she's trying to survive on her own. She's distrusting of some in the beginning but never lets it on, preferring to keep everyone on a light note. Her sarcasm is sometimes a problem though, as she occasionally offends people without even meaning to. Her temper is nearly non-existent. Yes she tends to get mad when the situation calls for, but as soon as she can get her mind off what's bothering her she tends to either forget about it or just plain get over it. Despite her extended lease on life she still sticks to the point that life is too short to be upset all the time. Special abilities/talents: Can pull a car apart and put it back together in less then an hour. Supernatural Affinity: Species/Group: Werewolf - Hide quoted text - Power(s): Can shift during the full moon….or sometimes without it if she's really upset. Level: N/A just yet Affiliation/Rank:N/A just yet Preferred Prey: Small animals, human meat has never done it for her. History: Sid lived a normal life in the Northern part of the continent, with a loving mother, a tolerant father and two other siblings, one older and one younger. She had an average childhood, growing up, going to school, having friends and collecting all the dreams and aspirations that normal children have. Sid was a good kid, almost always obeying her parents just because she knew that they only wanted what was best for her and because her parents made it easy to obey by allowing her a lot of leniency. Her Father, Sarge, owned and ran the local garage and try as he might to dissuade her, Sid could always be found somewhere in the garage, fiddling with this or that car, scouring the city for this or that part and getting herself covered in grease. From the time she was old enough to make her own way over to the building, that's where she could always be found. Fiddling with cars was something she enjoyed and seemed to be very good at and it allowed her to spend more and more time with her father. All in all it was a very average life which nothing special or out of the ordinary happening. To look back on it now, she considers herself very lucky to have had those beginning years or normalcy to think fondly of. It wasn't until three days before her seventeenth birthday which was also three days before the full moon, that her life all went to shit. Drinking had been a part of daily life as it was nearly THE best way to keep warm. You wouldn't drink yourself into oblivion everyday but a shot here and there was exactly what the body needed on cold nights. Nurses gave a shot of two to ailing retirees, mothers gave a drop or two to wailing babies to calm them in the night and the younger crowd just plain liked to drink. With her birthday coming up though, Sid and three other girlfriends planned a night out on the town and imbibed just a little more then necessary out of celebration. While out in an underground club where age wasn't needed to be noted, in fact, I.D. wasn't even asked for, the four girls partied it up to till past midnight before anything unusual happened. The plan had been to dance till dawn and then stumble home arm in arm. But it wasn't to be. Just past the midnight hour when the moon was about to be it's brightest, the four friends met up with a strange group of young men from out of town. They were cute and they were buying the drinks so the girls thought nothing more was really all that important. Sid caught the eye of one of the group, she's not sure about his name anymore but she's convinced it's along the lines of Gregori. The two danced and drank together but when the young man wanted to take it further, Sid refused. A little drinking, a little dancing and some playful flirting was one thing, but taking it to that other level the very first night of meeting someone was a whole other story. Sid liked to pride herself on having standards compared to some of the other girls her age. The situation was similar among the other girls, none of them wanting to go far enough to do something they'd regret in the morning so the group of friends decided to cut their plans short for the night. On the way home, Sid was convinced they were being followed and although her friends kept telling her she was just being paranoid, her fears were soon realized when the young men from the club attacked them. As Sid grew up and showed a bit of curve, her older brother had always been a little worried about her wandering around the city or working late at the Garage so he had insisted on teaching her the very basics of self defense. Sid had humored her brother, going through the motions of punching and kicking but never believed that she would ever really need it. The minute Gregori walked out of the shadows that night, Sid had wished she had paid just a little bit more attention to her brother's teachings. Her memories of the incident are fuzzy except for certain flashes. Sid tried to defend herself but the lack of actually knowledge, experience and a night of drinking were all working against her. The night still swims for her now when she tries to recall it, a clear picture of Gregori's face above hers as he raped her. If that wasn't painful enough, so close to the full moon, the act of predator and prey was too much and half-way through the young man seemed to loose control, contorting and changing, shifting in mid-action and nearly tearing out her throat. When she tried to scream, all she got was a mouthful of blood and everything went black after that. When Sid awoke she found herself in the hospital, hooked up to all sorts of different machines. She'd managed to survive while her friends hadn't. The doctors mentioned that her wounds looked like animal strikes but no one would believe her when she insisted her assailant had changed form during the ordeal. She had been in the hospital for just over two days, the doctors speaking about the fact that she was still alive at all was a gift from God. Sid was beginning to think it had something to do with Gregori changing. Old wives tales and legends were a dime a dozen in her area and it didn't take her long enough to put two and two together and figure out what might have happened. There was a chance that she had imagined the entire thing, her mind making up fanciful stories about Gregori and his friends being mythical creatures and her friends had just been merely murdered or, she could be right and the four young men were Werecreatures. What Sid couldn't find out was if she was infected for sure and how to stop it. On the night of the full moon, Sid found herself still in the hospital for observations while she healed slowly from her wounds. The transformation hit her like a semi-truck, painful enough to steal her breath, her cries turning from human to animal in mid scream. That first night was the worst so far in her life as she ripped through the hospital, a wild animal confined in civilization. By morning, Sid had changed back into her human form and wandering dazed towards her home. She felt a combination of a lot of things, energized and scared out of her mind over the ramifications of what had happened. Her steps were slow and her parents were waiting for her with matching worried expressions on their faces before she had even reached the front door. The hospital had called and told her parents everything but she still felt the need to explain herself but her parents wouldn't listen. Her parents although they loved her could not handle her new found state. They gave her money and a car and told her to pack her things and leave. They would not allow her to be a danger to her other siblings. With tears in her eyes, Sid left with nothing but the clothes on her back and the money in her pocket and has never gone back. Over the years she's moved from place to place trying to find a place to call home but has never been able to put down permanent roots anywhere. After how her own parents reacted to finding out what she was, she has never told anyone that she wasn't human afraid that she would find the same reaction. Because of this she has always had to put a barrier between herself and others which sooner or later always got in the way. Eventually she heard whispers of a city where those of her kind could find a place to be accepted where it wasn't perfect but there were others of her kind that she could learn from and find a place to belong without complete fear. She's come to Tainic to see if she can call it home though so far she's stayed clear of the formal groups, choosing to wait a bit longer before she chooses sides. Politics was never her forte. Flaws: Sid finds that clothes are a wonderful thing. She still retains many of the scars from her attack, most of them starting below her navel and gradually getting worse the farther down you go. Because of this, she's very picky about what clothes she wears, making sure they hide what needs to be hid. Also, because of her scars she has a very hard time being intimate with anyone because of what happens when they see them. And although bad things have happened to her, she's always hoping that the entire world hasn't fallen down the toilet just yet. As a result she's often seen as being naive and even worse, a push over. She'll more then likely give someone the benefit of the doubt even when they might not deserve it. Sid, like the animal she turns into once a month is a very curious creature. She doesn't always know when to stop or when to bud out of something that isn't her business. It was a trait she possessed before the attack and has only seemed to have gotten worse afterwards. She's incredibly curious about her own race, wanting to know more about herself and this predicament she's found herself in. Because of spending a majority of her time with humans after her change, she doesn't always know all of the rules and or expectations of her. Merits: Mechanical aptitude: Years of watching her father work on cars made it certain that she would possess this attribute at an early age. It mostly works where cars are concerned but has been known to show up in other areas. Common sense: Has been something Sid has always had a grasp for. She doesn't like to leap head first into things, instead thinking it through before she makes a decision. Too many times, life has thrown her a curve ball whenever she's reacted too fast. That doesn't mean that she always listens to her common sense though. All too often, the mute button gets hit one too many times on this one. High pain tolerance: This isn't something Sid thinks about too much. It's a part of her that's just there and comes in handy every now and then. It isn't something anyone's pointed out to her, or a merit that she's had to access too many times. It does help though once a month when she changes, allowing her to get through the transformation just a tad bit easier then someone else. Sexual Orientation: Straight…except for that one time… Preferred PB (played-by): Victoria Pratt | |||||||||
